Congratulations to the winners of the AAFO 2007 scholarships: Miyoko Fujii Patricelli of Eugene and Tricia Buzzard of Eugene. The Delbert Smith Memorial Scholarship given by the Smith Family was awarded to Erika Bulay.

The Asian-American Foundation of Oregon accepts applications for college scholarships for the fall of each year. The Foundation offers, two $1,000 scholarships, annually, for qualified applicants who have participated in Asian community and cultural events, anywhere in Oregon.

SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
The Asian American Foundation of Oregon (AAFO) scholarship grants will be made to encourage students who have demonstrated interest in Asian American cultural activities, to continue to participate in Asian American community and cultural activities which help support and promote the mission statement of the AAFO which is:
To promote cultural understanding, mutual respect and friendship among all people by sponsoring Asian American cultural education activities, awarding scholarship grants and establishing an Asian American Cultural Education Center in the Eugene/Springfield area.
SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION FOR APPLICANTS
1. Three (3) AAFO awards of $500.00 each, will be made each academic school year. These grants are provided by the AAFO General Scholarship Fund.
2. One (1) award of $800.00 will be made from the AAFO Smith Family Bookstore
Scholarship Fund in memory of its founder, Delbert Smith. Recipient of the
Smith Family Bookstore Scholarship must be a student attending, or be accepted for enrollment at the University of Oregon. However, if no application is received for qualified students accepted to, or enrolled at the U of O, this restriction may or may not be waived at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
